THIS NOMINATION WAS SUBMITTED BY KIMBLEY GREEN (FRIEND):
Kimberly is one of those women who holds multiple life titles: Mother, Wife, Caretaker, Entreprenuer, Author, Publisher, Ghostwriter, Blogger/Web Logger, Play Writer, Speaker, and Mentor.
What I admire most is how after the birth of her 1st child, Kimberly liberated herself from an unfulfilling job and "found" work that expresses her talents and passions as well as serving the needs of others. Her leap of faith decision to become a Momprenuer clearly demonstrates that a woman can truly achieve work-life balance.
This girl is on fire! Kimberly launched Writing Momma and the Write On! creative writing program in 2007. She has been blazing trails every since with her company Writing Momma Publsihing, LLC to include writing and publishing 7 books, skits, newspaper and online articles, and curricula for a charter school. She has passed on her "can do" and entrepreneurial mindset to her children who have successfully launched businesses as well as authoring several books themselves.
Kimberly established The DeBraux Parker Foundation in 2010 with the mission to stimulate, build, and sustain a diverse community of young writers who find commonalities in a shared passion for ideas. The Foundation has also launched three (3) writing programs to assist youth and young adults through creativity, critical thinking, inspired expression and lots of fun. In addition, she has published several collaborative works of students allowing them to become published authors. Kimberly continues to encourage youth and young adults to enhance their reading and writing skills and become lifetime learners. In her own words "writing renews the mind and liberates the soul!"
Noteworthy, is how Kimberly has used her foundation as a platform to raise awareness and funds for domestic violence.
Also, Kimberly recently was a featured speaker at a local conference geared towards empowering girls and women and delivered a most inpiring message before several thousand people.
Kimberly constantly exhibits what can happen when we get out of our own way.
Thank you for your consideration of this Supreme Woman.
